Necklace Restringing / Adjustment Service

As well as creating handcrafted jewellery for all occasions, I now offer a restringing / Adjustment service for jewellery.

This service is perfect if your necklace has become a little loose/stretched over time, or broken/has missing beads/pearls to keep your necklace in perfect condition, because string/elastic/wire will stretch after wear, and can erode over time.

I am based in East Yorkshire, and items can either be delivered to me in person for repair at my home studio, or they can be sent to me by a signed for postal service, I only accept items posted via royal mail signed for services, this is to protect both the buyer & myself, and you must use the jewellery signed for service, as this then protects your items, if you don't use the jewellery signed for service, royal mail, nor myself accept no liability if your items are lost or damaged during transit to me, so I do highly recommend that this is the service you use.

I have over 10 years experience in jewellery design & rethreading/restringing, bracelets, necklaces, headdresses, and other jewellery items, I use high quality materials in my work such as sterling silver, gold vermeil, and non tarnish wires, elastic thread, and non tarnish jewellery wire, and silk thread for pearls.

Pricing

I offer a simple pricing model for my restringing/adjustment service, because I don't believe in hidden costs, or hiking up prices, my prices are based on a simple rethreading/restringing service for a standard 18 inch glass/gemstone beaded necklace with a plated clasp added is £20 per 18 inch. (Please note this does not include postage back to you, this is charged as extra, and will be calculated on checkout, I use the royal mail signed for jewellery service for sending all items back out to customers)

* If you are delivering your item to me in person, and picking it back up again, then there is no delivery cost.

If your item is more complex, needs bead spacers adding in-between, sterling beads, more expensive gemstones, or pearls, or needs me to provide extra beads, sterling/vermeil beads/clasps/lengthening/shorting etc, then please opt for my bespoke option, as this service will depend on the amount of beads, the time taken, and the length of the necklace, and a quote from me before work is undertaken is needed, but prices for this service start at £30.

Time Of Completion

I aim to have a turnaround of 5-7 days from when I receive the item to fixing it, and then posting it back out, but please note during busy periods such as halloween/Christmas/School holidays then turnaround can take up to 21 days, as I work restricted hours during this time due to my child being at home, I always keep you updated via email of progress or if there is likely to be delays, should I need to order in beads or tools to complete the project.

Extra Notes

Please make sure if you are sending your items through the post to me, that you package it up safely & securely, include all the relevant beads, clasps, and send to me using the royal mail signed for jewellery service, as described above, once I have received your item, I will send you an email confirmation that I have received it, so please make sure the email is correct and up to date, as I am not responsible for spelling mistakes/errors made in correspondence addresses/names etc, once your item is completed, I will let you know and once it has been posted back to you, I also send you an email, so you know it is out for delivery, and I use a signed for delivery service to send it back to you, please know any delivery costs are not included in the price of this service, this is an extra cost that will be added to your final bill/charged at checkout.
